The AuTrain-Onota Public Colleges Board of Schooling common month-to-month board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month. Conferences are held at the college starting at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

From watching others while I was in class and observing my college freshman sister, I think loads of kids are unprepared. My sister is absolutely brilliant and capable of doing every little thing in her classes, however she has trouble with time administration. I think plenty of students really feel pressured to go to college instantly from high school, even when they don’t seem to be ready. A whole lot of students feel like if they take a yr or two off before attending faculty, they are somehow setting themselves up for failure in life. As an alternative, they go to varsity, aren’t fascinated or can’t cope with it, and drop out.
Thanks guys for posting these comments…I was about to enroll and start courses subsequent month an hopefully transfer to the University of Washington after receiving my AA. I am a single mother of two boys and the idea of being able to not put them in day care an working round their schedule was the largest enticement, however getting a false diploma will do nothing to better my little family. So again thanks everybody for sharing your expierences, I’m positive I am not the one one who has read this and re thought their plans.

My varied views embrace over 25 years of neighborhood organizing and advocating for DC children and households, including 9 years as an educational not-for-revenue government, 5 years as an educator in Ward One public schools, a mother or father, a PTA co-chair, and now, additionally, a grandparent of a Pre-K pupil.
